Special delivery at Three Rivers Post Office

Joseph Carey, officer in charge at the Three Rivers Post Office, expressed shock when Santa arrived in person this week to collect his letters and packages.
The post office will be open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 9 a.m. to noon, but closed Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Key shipping dates to get your holiday items to their destination by December 25 are: December 20-First Class Mail; December 21-Priority Mail; and December 23-Priority Mail Express.

Competing against cancer

On Saturday evening, Dec. 7, the Woodlake High School varsity volleyball team (standing, white jerseys) played a spirited match against Woodlake area firefighters from Tulare County Fire Department and Cal Fire. Fans booed when the Lady Tigers finally let the guys win a game. The evening’s festivities netted more than $2,200 for the Darcie Pena Cancer Treatment Fund.

Cool, dry in Kaweah Country forecast
